Current area of research interests: Geological evolution of the crustal basement of southern Western Australia. Catherine is the Project Manager for the Albany-Fraser and Eucla basement projects at the Geological Survey of Western Australia. Her main expertise is structural geology, geophysics, and tectonic synthesis. This multi-disciplinary and collaborative research encompasses determination of the crustal architecture to about 40 kilometres depth, the crustal evolution over the last 2.8 billion years, and mapping basement rocks under deep cover.
